Open House a Success
The March 7th Quilt Shop Co-op Open House generated renewed enthusiasm and excitement at 3400 Bloomington Avenue. It was so good to see all of the people who dropped by. Quilting friends gleefully reconnected with one another, and some who had never been inside the shop were excited to connect for the first time and see what was happening. A short update on shop plans and membership benefits was given and games and a drawing rounded out the activities. Donated treats, thanks to Seward Co-op and May Day Café, were offered to all. Visitors listed the types of classes and merchandise they would like the co-op to offer in the future. Close to 50 people stopped by and 18 joined as new members.
Special thanks go to members Kathleen Rickert and Sarah Peterson for their coordinating efforts in planning the event and securing the goodies.
